Abstract

1,037,674. Snow ploughs. D. BUNCE. May 6, 1963 [May 4, 1962], No. 17206/62. Heading E1G. At least one end portion 4 of a snow plough blade is detachable or deflectable relative to the main portion of the blade 3. The portions may be connected by horizontal flanges 6, 7 and shear bolts 9 or by vertical flanges 10 (fig. 5) urged together by springs 11 such that an obstruction deflects the end portion by breaking the bolt or straining the springs. In another embodiment the end portion may be positioned by a telescopic arm.
