Abstract
1, 037, 450. Knitting-machines. WILDMAN JACQUARD CO. Dec. 1, 1964 [Dec. 6, 1963], No. 48838/64. Heading D1C. A double cylinder knitting machine comprises long 14 and short 15 length sliders, the short knitted sliders having a supporting step 24 which is supported by a hold-over cam 20 to maintain the short knitted sliders in an elevated position while the long knitted sliders are being directed into the transfer position. The transfer cam 34 is radially movable by the action of a control cam 51 acting on a pin 50 Fig. 1 (not shown) and movement of the transfer cam causes the push plate 54 to withdraw the hold-over cam 20 only when the control cam 51 is moved sufficiently to cause the cam 34 to engage the short length for transfer. A pawl 45 releasable by a cam 58 holds the cam 34 in either of its inward positions.
