Abstract

1,036,878. Reciprocating pumps. HOSIERY EQUIPMENT Ltd. and C. R. DEAKIN. Oct. 1, 1963 [Oct. 8, 1962], No. 38007/62. Heading F1A. The flanges 19 of a multi-cylinder lubricant pump are actuated by a face cam 31 rotated by a spindle 35 and engaging projections 23 of the plungers, the stroke of each plunger being individually adjustable by screw means 24. The pump casing has a transparent side wall 17 clamped between end plates 11, 12, and forms a common reservoir feeding the pump cylinder inlets 43, the spindle 35 being driven through reduction gearing by an electric motor 14. The casing has a filling opening 44 and filter 45. The plungers 19 are lifted on their suction stroke by the cam 31 and driven downwardly by springs 27 on their delivery stroke, the length of the stroke being determined by the screws 24 engaging a flange 20. The pump outlets 41 are provided with non- return valves 42 comprising a valve body covered by a resilient sleeve controlling the liquid outlet orifice.
