In a pot burner having superposed rows of air input ports 7, a part of the bottom 2 of the pot forms a depressed section 3 which is supplied with fuel, and air entering the lower row of air ports 7 sweeps the entire surface of the depressed section. The slope of the walls 5 of the depressed section coincides with the axis 6 of the air inlet ports 7.
