Abstract

1,035,184. Photographic silver halide material. EASTMAN KODAK CO. Oct. 2,1962 [Oct. 4, 1961],No.35727/61. Heading G2C. Photographic material comprises a synthetic polymeric support coated on one side with a gelatino-silver halide emulsion layer and on the other side with a gelatin layer, the coating weight of gelatin in each layer not exceeding 0.45 g per square foot. The support is preferably of polyethylene terephthalate or biaxially oriented polystyrene and may be 0.004-0.008 inches thick. It may be subbed, for example with cellulose nitrate. The emulsion layer preferably contains from 0.25-0.35 g per square foot of gelatin.
