Abstract

1,269,802. Silver halide materials. FELIX SCHOELLER JR. April 15, 1969 [May 2, 1968], No. 19272/69. Heading G2C. Photographic materials having improved resistance to curling comprise a support coated on one side with a layer of a first coating material and a silver halide gelatin emulsion, and on the other side with a single anticurl layer of a substantially non-hygroscopic second coating material. The coating materials may be the same, the layer on the emulsion side being thinner than that on the other side. The examples described the use of nitrocellulose plasticized with dibutyl-and dimethyl-phthalate and polyethylene optionally pigmented with FiO 2 as first coating materials, and plasticized nitrocellulose, cellulose diacetate, polyethylene and polypropylene as second coating materials.
