Abstract
1,034,809. Drying ovens. GEORGE VOKES (INFRA RED) Ltd. Oct. 16, 1962 [Oct. 16, 1961], No.37069/61. Heading F4G. Print on plastic bottles 30, is dried by vertical movement through a heated oven, which movement is achieved by placing the bottles on spigots 23 mounted in parallel on cross-bars extending between and rotatably mounted on two endless conveyer chains 21, each cross-bar having an arm 24 carrying an adjustable counterweight 25 to maintain the bottles in an inclined position during the greater portion of their travel through the oven. The oven is heated by hot air heated externally of the treatment zone in chambers 26, 27 disposed in the front and rear walls of the oven respectively, which air is circulated by blowers 28, 29.
