1,108,175. Tea-drying apparatus. MARSHALL'S TEA MACHINERY CO. Ltd. 30 July, 1965 [1 May, 1964], No. 18127/64. Heading F4G. A tea-drying apparatus comprises an endless feed conveyer which loads tea leaf into a heated air chamber in which it is dried by passage in series on two horizontally mounted endless conveyers, means being provided for independently adjusting the conveying speed of the feed conveyer relative to the conveyers in the chamber. The speed of each endless conveyer may be independently adjustable by means which may comprise variable speed gears or variable ratchet drives.
