Abstract

1,033,350. Railway track securing means. SOC D'ETUDES FERROVIAIRES. Nov. 30, 1964 [Dec. 12, 1963], No. 48637/64. Heading E1G. Railway track R is supported on blocks 3 seated in cavities 2 in a continuous surface 1 with the interposition of an elastomeric sheath C the bottom S of which has a closed cellular structure. The sheath surrounds the block 3 and is expanded to receive the block. The surface 1 is of concrete containing cement or asphalt and the blocks may be of concrete or wood joined by a rolled steel member 4. The rails R are secured to the blocks by elastic fasteners 11 and a pad 9 may be placed under the rail flange.
