Abstract

1,032,481. Thermal storage space heaters. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. Feb. 24, 1965 [March 9, 1964], No. 9823/64. Heading F4U. A refractory block 1 has a series of air ducts 9 through which is threaded a continuous length of resistance wire 13, the ends of the ducts being in communication with air inlet and outlet passages 11 in manifolds 6 fitting over grooves 4 in the edges of the block. Dividing ribs 12 in the manifolds distribute the air over the ducts. A transverse duct 14 extends through the block. A fan forces air through the ducts and the device may act as an ordinary fan heater or a storage heater.
