Projectiles; projectile fuses.-Relates to percussion fuses having spring strikers, and consists in making the striker with a weakening-notch to cause it to break on impact to fire the fuse. As shown in Fig. 1, the striker e is held cocked against its spring f by triggers m, n in engagement with the weakening- notch e<2> of the striker. The striker projects beyond a grenade a and ends in a knob i, which, when the striker is uncocked by wedging the triggers aside by a loose collar r, prevents the striker from reaching the percussion cap g, as shown in dotted lines. To ensure that the knob shall strike the target, the striker is disposed at an angle to the axis X Y of the grenade. When applied to projectiles and bombs, the striker is disposed obliquely or at right-ongles to the longitudinal axis: and the bomb is made with a feathered tail.
