1,030,077. Spinning-frames; cleaning machines. PALITEX-PROJECT CO.,G.m.b.H. Nov. 20,1964 [Nov. 22,1963], No. 47432/64. Headings DID and D1F. A framework for uptwisting, e.g. 2:1 1 twisting, spindles, comprises on each side of the framework, rails 1 between which is provided a free space to allow an endless belt for driving the spindles to be placed in position, the rails being supported on legs 2 and carrying tensioning-rollers for the belts and uprights 5 for the superstructure. The rails may be of the section shown in Fig. 11, comprising a box 8 with an angled part 9 extending from it, these parts being joined at 15 or not. The rails may be reversed in position so that the box 8 is below the part 9. The box carries the spindle bearings. The angled part causes the tensioning rollers for the belt, means for adjusting these rollers and brakes for the wharves. The space between the rails may have cover plates 19<SP>1</SP>, resting on members 21, 25 or hinged to one another; in this way a box or boxes 18<SP>1</SP> are provided which may be connected to a source of suction or pressure or to air conditioning means and may have ducts opposite each spindle. In Fig. 11 an extracting duct 23 is provided in the trough formed by the plates 19<SP>1</SP>. Additional banks may be superposed on the uprights 5.
