Abstract

1,029,131. Shuttering for casting floors. KWIKFORM Ltd. July 23, 1963 [April 24, 1962], No. 15448/62. Heading E1S. Shuttering for casting floors etc. is supported on props 11 by tubes 16 each having a head plate 18 adapted to form part of the casting surface and also having slidable thereon a sleeve 19 supporting the main shuttering 22 which is lowered after setting of the concrete which is then supported for final setting by the plates 18. To release the main shuttering 22 the sleeve 19 is turned and slightly lowered owing to the passage of the inclined lower edges 31 of the sleeve over the ends of a pin 30 in a slot 29 in the tube 13. The sleeve 19 is turned until the ends of the pin 30 engage in pockets 33 protruding from the sleeve which can then be dropped over the pin, which engages slots 32 in the sleeve and the shuttering can be removed from the spigots 21 on a plate 20 rotatably supported on the sleeve and having a crosspiece engaging the slot 29 to prevent its rotation relative to the tube 16. The tube 16 is mounted on the prop head plate 12 by a plate 14 and clamps 15a. The shuttering comprises beams and panels both providing the casting surface.
