A bolted flanged joint between two pipes contains a bush 16 having a part spherical portion disposed within the ends of the two pipes and in sealing contact with internal frusto-conical surfaces of the two pipes, means, such as a packing washer 14 inserted between the flange faces, being provided to ensure that the bush is not deformed beyond its yield point as the flanges are clamped together.
