Abstract

102,848. Boyce, W. E. Feb. 19, 1916. Wind-screens, particularly applicable to cycle side-cars. A screen c of flexible material is detachably mounted on two side rods a<3>, one edge c<1> being folded over one rod and fastened, and the other edge c<4> being folded over the other rod and adjustably fastened by buckles or the like e. The upper ends of the rods a<3> are formed with eyes a<4> to receive a transverse rod d adapted to be passed through a loop c' at the upper edge of the screen. Fig. 2 shows the screen detacked from its supports. A side screen h, with its edge looped over a rod h<1>, may be permanently or detachably secured to the main screen. The rods a' may be formed, as shown in Fig. 1, with horizontal extensions a<2> held in place by hooks f, and with vertical extensions a<1> adapted to fit into sockets b on the sides of the car, such as are provided in connexion with the hood described in Specification 1811/15.
