Abstract

A wash bath, particularly for textile material 21, comprising a revolving screen 8 over which the material passes, and a suction pump within the screen 8 effecting circulation of liquor through the screen, is characterised by the provision of at least one filter within the bath in the circulation system of the liquor. The embodiment according to Fig. 1 (not shown), has filters 14, 15 provided in a circulation cycle 13 which is equipped with a pumping unit 24; a strainer 5 is also positioned around the screen 8. Further embodiments, Figs. 2, 3 and 4 (not shown), utilise plate type filters either externally of the screen i.e. filters 1, 11, 17 and 29, or internally i.e. filters 9 and 19. The filter may, as in the embodiments according to Figs. 5, 6 and 7 (not shown), be in the form of a belt or cloth 36 or 36a.
