In a dishwashing machine an inlet duct 15 for a circulating pump (13), Fig. 1 (not shown) is integral with an inlet duct 18 for a drain pump 14. The circulating pump draws washing liquid from the washing chamber through holes 20 in a filter plate 19 and returns it for discharge through a rotary sprayer. The drain pump draws the used washing liquid through holes 21 in the filter plate 19 larger than the holes 20.
