Abstract

1,027,384. Dry shavers. PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd. April 16, 1963 [April 17, 1962], No. 14846/63. Heading B4B. A dry shaver has hair clippers 15 which are driven from an eccentric 9 fixed on a drive spindle 5 of the shaving head 7, the eccentric being embraced by the arms 11 of a fork 10 which is connected by a spindle 12 to a finger 13 for driving the movable blade 14 of the clippers. The spindle 12 is held in a recess in the edge of a plate 8 by means of a spring clip 18 provided with apertures engaging over projections 21 formed on the edge of the plate 8. In a modification, Fig. 4 (not shown), the spindle is journalled in a bore in an inwardly protruding portion of the shaver wall. In a further modification, the spindle is fixed in a hub and projects below the frame plate into a recess in an inwardly protruding portion of the shaver housing.
