Abstract

Oils are dewaxed by a process comprising cooling followed by flotation in which the oil is cooled by mixing with a cold diluent, preferably at least 10 DEG C. cooler than the flotation process. The diluent may be a kerosine added in an amount sufficient to reduce the viscosity to below 20 centistokes. Preferably part of the dewaxed oil is cooled and recycled. Other details are as described in Specifications 1,022,429 and 1,022,430.
