Abstract

A self-lubricating plastic composition comprises nylon, a hydrocarbon lubricating oil and ethylene glycol, propylene glycol or triethylene glycol. The nylon may be nylon 61 ( 1/3 hexamethylene adipamide, 1/3 hexamethylene sebacamide, 1/3 caprolactam), nylon 6, nylon 11, nylon 66, or nylon 610; the oil may be any hydrocarbon oil of viscosity 1 to 4000 cs. at 100 DEG F.
