Abstract

A high density polyethylene contains 2 to 10% by weight of a mineral oil having a density between 0.85 and 0.95 g./c.cm., a flashpoint of 165 DEG to 300 DEG C. and a cold setting point of lower than 0 DEG C. and is used as a material for a container for mineral oils. The oil is incorporated with the powdered polyethylene at the same stage as conventional additives and the resulting composition is processed by extrusion blowing to form the containers.
