Abstract

1,023,917. Mounting barrels. STURM, RUGER & CO. Inc. Feb. 18, 1965 [March 30, 1964], No. 7103/65. Heading F3C. A barrel 12 having a transverse slot 18 providing a sloping surface 19 is secured to a receiver 5 by a locking block 21 which is secured to an extension 4 of the receiver by means of screws H and is formed with sloping surfaces 23, 24 that engage the barrel surface 19 and surface 9 of the extension. The barrel is prevented from movement by the portion 13 being a closed sliding fit in the receiver hole 3, the shoulder 17 abutting receiver surface 5, and surface 6 abutting extension 4. The barrel inner end is formed with an extractor slot 14.
