Abstract

1,017,570. Sliding bolts. T. J. COOKE & SON Ltd. Nov. 23, 1964 [Nov. 14, 1963], No. 44945/63. Heading E2A. In a bolt wherein a frame provides a channel section guide member for a shoot member 15, the opposed sides 12 of the guide member and the sides of the shoot member juxtaposed thereto have complementary resiliently engageable means arranged releasably to hold the shoot member in a predetermined position relative to the frame. As shown, each side 12 of the guide member is provided with spaced apertures 21 one of which is engageable by a bent portion 25 of a spring 23 located in a groove 22 in the adjacent side of the shoot member, so that the latter may be resiliently held in the shot or retracted position when moved to either of these positions by a knob 20.
