Abstract

1391231 Seat slides SOUTHERN BROS ENGS Ltd 7 June 1973 [2 June 1972] 25830/72 Heading A4J Relative movement between the two parts 10, 11 of a seat slide is prevented by providing one of the two parts with opposed ramps 22 between which two rollers 23 are held apart by a spring 24 to create a jamming action which may be released by moving the rollers against the spring-loading. Movement of the rollers is effected by a plate 20 slidably mounted within the other of the two parts and provided with a slot 21 in which the two rollers are positioned. One part of the slide may be provided with upwardly and inwardly directed walls and the other part with downwardly and outwardly directed walls which are provided internally with pips (54) located so as to retain the operating plate, Fig. 5 (not shown).
