Abstract

Spindle apparatus.-To secure the cup or flyer 2 to its bearings, a groove 1 is formed in the lower inner face of the cup, and a wire 3 is half embedded in it. The projecting part of the wire is immediately underneath the lower face of the outer journal 4 of the ball bearing. Notches 5 are cut in the lower part of the cup, through which the wire can be withdrawn.
