Abstract

A stopper 1 fits with a slight clearance in the branch 4 of a pipe, sealing being effected by a ring 6 located in a peripheral groove 5 of the stopper. A rib 8 extends across the outer end of the body 2 of the stopper and has holes 9 for the insertion of a bar affording a hand grip. In a modification, Fig. 3 (not shown), the groove is formed in a surrounding covering of the body 2.
