A hose-fitting comprises an insert 1 adapted for insertion into the end of a hose 2, and a ferrule 6 which is radially compressed to clamp the hose on to the insert, the closed end of the ferrule being rigidly connected to a collar 7 through which the insert passes and to which the insert is rigidly secured.
