[Also in Division F2] A protective facing for a wall of e.g. a stores or luggage room at a station comprises a backing panel 10 formed from vertical tongued and grooved timber planks supporting horizontal rubber strips 12, each of tangentiallyflanged circular section, with diametrically opposed slots along the inside of the tubular portion, the rubber strips being secured to the panel 10 by brass strips 20 intermediate the rubber strips 12. Angle-section edge members 22 are provided, and the rubber strips 12 may be joined together at wall corners either by angle shaped strips of section similar to the rubber strips with cylindrical inserts projecting therefrom into the tubular portions of the strips 12 to be joined, or by a simple bevelled Joint.
