Abstract

1,022,019. Root-crop harvesters. SOC. D'ETUDES ET DE CONSTRUCTIONS MECANIQUES DE CORBEIL. Sept. 21, 1964 [Nov. 12, 1963], No. 38500/64. Heading A1F. A root-crop, e.g. beet, harvester comprises two approximately horizontal circular grids 4, 5 disposed rearwardly of plough-shares 3 and rotatable in the directions of the arrows 31, 32. Deflectors 35, 36 are provided to discharge the beet through a passageway 37. The grids are driven by a tractor power take off via shaft 27, chains 26, shafts 21 and gearing 18 and 19. The axles 6 of the grids are supported in sleeves 8 (Fig. 1, not shown) and the grids are adjustable as to distance from and inclination relative to the ground by means of two collars 10, 11 pivotally attached to frame 1 in which collars the sleeves are slidable.
