Abstract

A modification of the electrically insulating connection described in the parent Specification comprises an outer tubular flanged member 10 having a coaxial annular cavity 19, a second tubular member 11 having an annular flange 15, the two members fitting together as shown and not in contact, a seal gasket 22 of an elastic and electro-insulating material, interposed between the annular flange 15 and the bottom of the cavity, a ring 26 made integral with the flange of member 10 after the spaces between the two members have been filled, and a filling of a polymerizable and hardening plastics material filling all the empty spaces between the two members, and a lining at electrically insulating material applied on all or part of the internal wall of the second tubular member. The outer surface of the tubular member 11 and the inner surface of member 10 may be serrated to afford a better grip for the plastics material. Electrically insulating spacers 30 may be introduced in the spaces around member 11. The flange member 10 may have bores 19 to receive bolts and the end face of the coupling may be part circular in section to join in T-section to a further pipe (Fig. 2, not shown).
