Abstract

In an injection moulding machine one mould part 1 is moved towards the other 1<SP>1</SP> by toggle links 6, 7 and 8 operated by hydraulic means 12, 13, and final closing pressure is applied by hydraulic means 15, 16 when the toggle is straightened, means being provided for adjusting the movement of the mould part 1 to allow for different sizes of moulds. The adjustment means comprises a tumbuckle which in one embodiment (Fig. 2, not shown) comprises a threaded sleeve engaging threaded ends of rods 6, 7. In a second embodiment (Figs. 4 to 6, not shown) the tumbuckle comprises a threaded rod 21 engaging two threaded sleeves 19, 20, a ring 26 and pin 24 being provided for accurately adjusting the tumbuckle and pinch bolts 24, 25 for locking it in position.
