Abstract

1493806 Blow mould MONSANTO CO 12 Nov 1974 [14 Nov 1973] 48905/74 Heading B5A The main embodiment is described in Specification 1,493,807 but the claims relate to stretch-blow moulding using a pair of mould halves movable to engage a mould end plug, and a pair of neck rings movable to hold a heated parison between the mould halves during a parison stretching operation before the mould is closed for blowing and cooling the parison. A further embodiment concerns mould halves, neck rings and mould end plug clamps which are not pivoted but are mounted for linear movement by hydraulic cylinders.
