Abstract
1,019,388. Pipe filter. ZENTRALE ENTWICKLUNG UND KONSTRUKTION (ZEK) PUMPEN UND VERDICHTER VEB. Jan. 21, 1963, No. 2587/63. Heading BID. [Also in Division Fl] A filter arrangement for the suction stage of a self-priming centrifugal pump comprises a sieve filter I forming part of the inner wall of the delivery pipe 4, means being provided for conveying liquid passing through the filter transversely to the direction of flow of liquid in the delivery pipe to the suction stage (ball valve 9, suction pipe 7), the filter being removably inserted in a cleaning opening 3 in the delivery pipe, which is closed by means of a detachable closure cover 2 to which the filter is connected, suitably by bars 5, so that a gap 6 is maintained between the filter and the closure cover. A tight closure is ensured by the use of the fly-press closure means 8.
