Abstract

1,016,739. Electric cables. PIRELLI S.p.A. Sept. 3, 1963 [Feb. 23, 1963], No. 34724/63. Addition to 934,911. Heading H1A. In a modification of the cable described in the parent Specification employing alternate layers of plastics filaments and tapes, the oil is replaced by gas under pressure. The gas may be nitrogen, sulphur hexafluoride, a fluorinated hydro-carbon or a mixture of these materials at a pressure of 2 to 50 atmospheres. The plastics material need not be oil resistant.
