Abstract
1,016,706. X-ray systems. CHIRANA PRAHA, NARODNI PODNIK. Aug. 29,1962 [Aug. 30, 1961; March 3, 1962], No. 33161/62. Heading H2H. In an arrangement for selecting combinations of values of voltage current and time of exposure for an X-ray tube, the time values approximate to a Reynard series (i.e. each value increases by a factor of 1À25) and the anode current values also form a Reynard series which is a reciprocal of the time values. The kV. values are arranged on a drum 7 coupled to a control 4 and the milliampere-secs. and time values are arranged on another drum 6 coupled to a control 8, a set of push-buttons 30 corresponding to the current values being located in front of the drum 6. Movement of the drums 6, 7 rotate internally mounted contacts which allow one of a series of relays, each connected to a button to be energized provided the tube rating is not exceeded as the combination will not give bad exposures. Once a button has been depressed interlocking contacts on each relay disconnect the relays corresponding to a higher current.
