Abstract

1,016,478. Hose connectors. CARR FASTENER CO. Ltd. March 26, 1964 [June 25, 1963], No. 25255/63. Heading F2G. An adaptor for coupling a hose pipe to a faucet 17 comprises a member 1 of synthetic plastics and a shank 2 of synthetic plastics connectible to the hose pipe and having a head 10 provided with a resilient lip 11 and, on the outer surface thereof, projections 13 spaced from the lip. The shank is assembled with the member 1 so that part of the head 10 and the projections respectively overlie the inner and outer faces of the annular flange 5 of the member 1, the lip being deformable to make sealing engagement with the inner face of the flange when the member 1 is connected to the faucet. As shown, the member 1 has an annular, resilient head 8 to provide a water-tight seal.
