A flange-mounting sealing strip comprises a U-shaped plastics member 1 formed with retaining lips 3 and having a steel insert 2, and a sponge rubber sealing member 4, stuck to one limb of member 1, the member 4 having a sealing lip 5 and a part 6 formed with two lips 7 and 8, the first of which lips 7 is engaged by the flange 9 as the sealing strip is pressed thereon and causes the part 6 to be pulled further around the lower edge of member 1 to give a watertight seal.
