Abstract

1512786 Sealing strip DRAFTEX DEVELOPMENT AG 3 Sept 1975 [19 Sept 1974] 40960/74 Heading E1J A sealing strip comprises two L-shaped members 5, 6 at least one of which has a metal core 8, 16 and which interlock to form a channel shaped strip. The members may be of plastics or rubber. A compressible seal member 18 may be attached. One member 5 may have a lip 10 and a bent-over end 14 to engage the other member 6. The strips may have ribs 15, 24 which may be of different hardnesses. The strip may be formed into a closed loop and used as a weather seal on the flange of a vehicle door opening; assembly is made easier because the two parts can be separated and snapped together when in position.
