Abstract

1,016,436. Warp let-off motion for looms. STEEL HEDDLE MANUFACTURING CO. June 5, 1962 [June 13,1961], No. 21648/62. Heading DIE. A variable-speed warp beam drive controlled by a movable back rest includes a double V-pulley having, a middle flange E which is loose on its shaft. The beam is driven by belts 32, 58, and the double pulley, is swung about a pivot 43 by the backrest in accordance with the tension in the warp, thereby varying its distance from the pulleys B, C, so causing the flange E to slide along its shaft to vary the velocity ratio of the drive.
