Abstract

1,013,843. Knitting machines. I. & R. MORLEY Ltd. Sept. 17, 1964 [June 19, 1963], No. 24309/63. Heading D1C. A presser for a straight-bar knitting machine comprises a rod A rotatably mounted in a groove B in the front of the sinker head. Notches G may be provided in order that on rotation of the rod A, selected beards pass through the notches and tuck stitches are formed. The bar A is movable longitudinally in order to select the position of the tuck stitches. A second bar H, Fig. 5, may be provided which is also movable longitudinally and has notches N which provide means of casting off the newly formed loops L and retaining the old loops M.
