Abstract

1,013,380. Cable clips. THOMAS FRENCH & SONS. Sept. 26, 1963 [Oct. 24, 1962], No. 40220/62. Heading H2C. [Also in Division G1] A band fastening for embracing a bundle of cables or the fins of a rocket comprises a flexible band with a hole 13a engaged by a protuberance 12a formed with a lip 12b which can be flexed relative to the rest of the protuberance to facilitate its disengagement from the hole 13a. The band is of integral construction, conveniently moulded from polythene. The surface 12a<SP>1</SP> slopes downwardly towards the rear end of the band while the upper surface of the lip 12b slopes away and its underside makes an angle of approximately 100 degrees with the body 12a which near its base is sufficiently rigid to resist the tension applied to the strap in normal use, while the neck holding the lip is sufficiently flexible to allow the lip to flex when a radial force is applied to the ribbed end 1 la to release the band.
