Abstract

1,012,638. Endless conveyers. OURY ENGINEERING CO. July 15, 1964, No. 29087/64. Headings B8A and B8S. Endless belt conveyer sections 10, 11, 12 ... , for transporting concrete mix from a shoot 14 to a floor &c. being laid, are connected to each other so as to be relatively rotatable in plan (Fig. 2). The inclination of adjacent sections may also be relatively varied and the longitudinal position of the upstream end of any section can be moved longitudinally under the feed end of the preceding conveyer. The mix is deflected by a canvas boot 77 at the downstream end of each section into a funnel 76 rigid with framework of the upper conveyer (Figs. 3, 4). Also rigid with the same framework are depending bolts 98, 99, carrying an annular member 97 which is rotatable between flanges 95, 96 forming an annular channel cross-section member 92. The latter is rigid with a frame 87 which supports the lower conveyer. Side frames 17, 18 of the lower conveyer are outwardly channelled at 19 to rest on a pair of rollers 105, 105, carried by a bar 101 which is centrally pivotally mounted on the frame 87. This arrangement thus permits retraction and extension longitudinally of the conveyer relative to the frame 87, and allows variation of inclination of the conveyer. The frame 87 is pivotally mounted at 85 on a fixed base frame 3.
