Abstract

1,011,412. Cartons; packaging. SHIRLEY, and WARBEY BOX CO. Ltd. Dec. 18, 1961 [Dec. 16, 1960; March 10, 1961], Nos. 43423/60 and 8883/61. Headings B8C and B8P. [Also in Division B5] A tray is erected from a blank (Fig. 1) having a bottom panel from which are cut flaps 8 which are raised to form partitions, side panels 2 hingedly connected to the bottom panel and flaps 6 hingedly connected to the panels 2, the blank being folded along diagonal lines of weakening 4 so that the flaps 6 at each end of the tray overlap and may be secured together to form end panels. For erection, the tray is placed on a jig 10 having upstanding projections 11 and stops 12 at one end, and is pushed towards the stops so that the projections 11 force the flaps 8 upright. The contents are then inserted, the tray is removed from the jig 10 and wrapped in a layer of transparent film material.
