Abstract

A control circuit for arc-welding comprises a pair of identical half voltage transformers 1, 1a whose secondary windings 5, 5a link a pair of magnetic amplifiers 2, 2a whose control windings 6, 6a link a pair of non-saturable inductors which block the second harmonic of the supply. The arrangement is stated to give an increased current slope about the zero axis.
