Abstract

1,009,358. Two - part couplings. McMURDO INSTRUMENT CO Ltd. July 16, 1963 [July 16, 1962], No. 27196/62. Heading H2E. A socket contact comprises a metal body 10 surrounded by a spring clip 18 with a dimpled tongue 20 projecting through a slot in body 10 into bore 11 to engage a co-operating pin 12, the clip 18 being free to move an appreciable distance axially but being retained by means of a body flange 14 and a slotdefining shoulder 16 which stops the forward end of tongue 20. The body 10 is formed with a groove 15 and the flange 14 for mounting in a support, and with a rear recess 25 into which a conductor may be soldered.
