Abstract

100,742. Mason, C. T. June 19, 1915, [Convention date]. Inductor-alternators. - In ignition generators as described in Specifications 8128/13, 8964/13 and 29655/13, the primary winding is connected to the interrupter by an encased lead g<21> as described in Specification 100,031. The distributor is connected to the high tension winding by a trunk conductor d<5> which bears on an arc-shaped plate g<11>, Fig. 5 (Cancelled). The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states that the arc-shaped plate has an extension g<13> forming with the frame a safety spark-gap. The armature windings are placed on a core g<6>, which has pole pieces g<7>, g<8> projecting into a brass or white metal bushing g<22> in which the inductor rotates. An air gap g<23> left in the bushing has a mica cover - plate. The bush carrying the armature is adjustable with the interrupter for timing, the plate g<11> moving with respect to the conductor d<5>. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
