Regulation, automatic systems and apparatus for.-In a vibrating regulator of the kind in which the magnet core c is provided with an operating- coil b and an opposing coil g, the period of vibration and sparking at the contacts are reduced by connecting the low-resistance coil g in parallel with the shunt-field winding d of the generator in order that the coil g and winding d may form a closed circuit when the regulator contacts are open.
