Abstract

7776. Leitner, H. March 30. Regulation, automatic systems and apparatus for. - An electric regulator of the kind described in Specifications 25,784/04 and 6690/05 is provided with a relay having a voltage coil and a current coil carrying the whole or a portion of the main current. In the arrangement shown in Fig. 1, the relay D is provided with a voltage coil d and a current coil b operating through a core e on a spring- controlled pivoted arm. The dynamo A is of the kind described in Specification 9655/05, [Class 35, Dynamo - electric generators &c.], the shunt field circuit containing a rheostat F, the arm a of which is controlled by a reversible motor E provided with field windings l, k, the energization of which is controlled by the relay D. Trigger switches i, j are provided to break the motor field circuits at each end of travel of the arm a. In a modification, the coils d, b are provided with separate cores attached at opposite ends of a lever, the coil b being arranged to carry the battery-charging current. Specification 1095/03 is also referred to.
