Abstract

Apparatus for transporting cigar bunches from a wrapping machine 1 to a pressing wheel 17 comprises a movable carrier 4 having an oblong cavity 5 and moving initially in a direction along the longitudinal axis of the cavity and finally pivoting about a vertical axis 6 to the position shown at 5<1>. The carrier 4 is mounted on a movable block 7 about the axis 6 in a holder 8. The shaft of the axis 6 carries an arm 9 having a roller 10 which engages a guide member 12 to effect the swinging of the carrier against the action of a spring. Reciprocation of the block 7 is effected by angularly reciprocating arm 13 connected to the block 7 by a rod 14.
