Abstract

1,003,793. Leaf filter. SPARKLER MANUFACTURING CO. March 21, 1963, No. 11223/63. Heading B1D. A filter plate assembly comprises a corrugated sheet member having open-ended parallel channels of rectangular cross-section, filter media covering both sides of the sheet member and supported on the ridges thereof, a rim structure around the entire periphery of the sheet securing the media thereto, and fluidconveying means extending through the rim to communicate with the channels. The filter media may be woven wire screens, perforated plates, cloth or paper. In Fig. 4, a rim 12 covers the edge of the corrugated sheet 11 with another channel-like rim 17 overlying the rim 12 and supporting and sealing the edges of the filter media 16.
